WHAT IS A ZBOARD?

ZBoard is a cement particle board supplied by ZClad, designed as a strong, moisture-resistant backing board for stone cladding and stone slips.

ZBoard is a heavy-duty cement-fibre backing board designed to provide a secure, moisture-resistant substrate for ZClad natural stone panels. It is fixed directly to timber, steel or concrete structures and primed before installation to ensure strong adhesion and long-term performance.

ZClad recommends correct fixing centres, structural load checks (approx. 85 kg/m²), and the use of appropriate adhesives, screws and sheathing tape to achieve a stable, durable installation.
